Solar photo competition
Posted by Cathy Debenham on 5 June 2009 at 10:09 am
We Support Solar is running a photography competition to celebrate daylight in the UK. The campaign group is a network of organisations (including YouGen) and individuals who want solar power to be an important part of the renewable energy mix in the UK.
To enter the competition you need to take a photograph that conveys the beauty and potential of light in the UK. This could be a landscape with a cloudy sunrise, or a reflection in a building's window, a setting sun reflected in a water droplet, or anything you choose that will excite the viewer and bring home the amazing quality, power and variation of daylight. The picture illustrating this article is of a sunset, seen from my office window.
Prizes include a SANYO high definition Dual camcorder, a Wattson energy meter, tickets to the Eden Project and London Duck Tour, and a chance for your picture to be exhibited at The Big Chill festival. Closing date is 30 June 2009.
