Natural Sparx powered by Rexel Energy Solutions have confirmed as headline sponsors for this year’s Solar Energy UK (SEUK) Roadshow (previously branded as Solar Power UK Roadshow) taking place in six locations across the UK in February.
The roadshow, now in its third year, is a series of half day seminars that provide an accessible educational opportunity in trade essentials for installers, SME and commercial businesses to run a successful solar business in the upcoming year.
Organised by Solar Media, the publisher of leading news platform Solar Power Portal and Solar Business Focus UK magazine, the seminars will take place in Surrey, Somerset, Cambridgeshire, Manchester, Yorkshire and Edinburgh between 3 – 11 February.
With the UK small-scale market ranked sixth place in 2013 due to FiTs and stability in policy, additional topics covered in this year’s programme such as new methods of selling and opportunities in solar field projects will shed light on potential areas of development for smaller installers.
Supporting sponsors BayWa r.e. mentioned, "The last two months of 2013 were very encouraging for us as we saw continuous growth across all sectors of the UK PV market, this resulted in the highest installation capacity figures since the week before the most recent FiT cut – and all this during what is normally the quietest months of the year.
"Whether this was encouraged by increasing energy costs we are optimistic that the trend will continue once installers can get back out there following the awful weather we have recently suffered! With the next FiT cut coming in April the SEUK Roadshows are ideally placed for installers to come and learn of new developments from manufacturers and products becoming available from us that may mean up selling opportunities, improved installation timescales and a competitive edge."
Additional sponsors Solar Frontier, SunEdison, Geo and P.M. Service will also be joined by speakers:
Ray Noble, Co-Chair of the Department of Energy and Climate Change Solar Strategy Task Force & PV Specialist, Solar Trade Association
Stuart Elmes, CEO, Viridian Solar & Chair of Solar Thermal Committee, Solar Trade Association
Paul Barwell, CEO, Solar Trade Association
Ian Draisey, Managing Director, BayWa r.e and Director of the Solar Trade Association
Barry Marsh, Director, BRE National Solar Centre
Solar Energy UK Roadshow is supported by Renewable Energy Installer, YouGen, Installer magazine, RegenSW, Energy Technology Partnership, BPVA and Scottish Renewables.
