Win a Tesla Powerwall battery from Empower Energy

Posted by Alex Barrett on 12 April 2016 at 9:30 am

Empower Energy, a UK based installer of Solar panels and YouGen member, is running a competition to win a Tesla Powerwall battery. The competition is open to people anywhere in the UK, but entrants do need to already have a Solar Photovoltaic (Solar PV) system installed on their property.

The Tesla Powerwall is a battery system from Tesla Motors, a company working to develop electric cars. The Powerwall utilises similar technology to their electric car batteries, but for use in the home. It allows the user to store energy from their solar PV system for use at night, rather than selling excess energy to the grid. Full details of both the competition and the Powerwall system can be found at the link below. The competition closes on 30 April 2016.

No purchase necessary. Closing date for entry will be 30 April. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted. The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. The winner will be announced online shortly after the competition closes. Any personal data relating to any entrants will be used solely in accordance with current [UK] data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
