Solar Star Power Limited
We have considerable experience of both domestic and commercial arrays mounted on sloped and flat roofs plus ground mounted arrays and can design & install an integrated PV solar system to suit most requirements.
We are not tied to any specific manufacturer and offer a wide range of both Polycrystalline, Monocrystalline and Hybrid panels for different locations and uses with specifically designed systems to maximise output and minimize the visual impact of panels.
As passionate solar power enthusiasts we fully believe in the technology’s financial and environmental benefits and as an experienced, expert and professionally run business, we pride ourselves on delivering each installation on-time and budget.
How we work
Company Type: Installer,
Markets we work in: Community, Domestic, New build, Private sector, Public sector, Retrofit,
Site visits and quotes: What happens next……
You will receive a quotation and project report, this will provide the total cost of supplying installing and commissioning a solar photovoltaic system for your property and will include performance projections, a rate of return on investment for the next twenty years, a roof layout (with options where appropriate) together with other technical information.
When we have received a signed acceptance of quotation and deposit we will provide written confirmation of the arrangements for your installation. To ensure due diligence in regard to project management the installation will take place within 14 – 21 days from acceptance. A typical sequence of events is summarised below.
An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for your property rated at band D or above is required to qualify for the higher Feed in Tariff (FiT) rate. You will be contacted by our EPC inspector to arrange a survey. This survey is undertaken at the expense of Solar Star Power Limited.
Shortly before the installation is to take place we will arrange for scaffolding/scaffold staging to be delivered and erected at your property.
Work normally starts at between 8:30 and 9:00am and concludes mid/late afternoon.
The installation will be supervised to ensure that all equipment and requirements are in place.
After sales service: After Installation
Arrangement will be made for scaffolding/staging to be collected and any packaging and rubbish will be removed.
Once the system is operational we will compile your handover pack including applying for your MCS Certificate which is needed in order for you to complete your application to your electricity provider for the Feed in Tariff. Once the MCS certificate has been obtained we will be in a position to visit you to complete the handover, this is normally within one or two days of the completion of the installation.
We will obtain and complete as much of the Feed in Tariff application form for your electricity provider as we can prior to handover.
We will contact you on the anniversary of your installation to check that your system is performing to expectations.
