Rainwater harvesting
Having spent many years working in various management roles for a large retailer, Barry gave it up to follow his passion for environmental issues.
He initially set up as an independent consultant, obtained Continuing Professional Development and Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment certifications, and manufacturer training, and represented several renewable energy technology sellers. He quickly realised that all they wanted to do was make a sale, and weren't interested in helping their clients make the right decisions.
During this period, he met, his current business partner, who felt the same way. They saw that there didn't appear to be anyone providing advice for the domestic and small commercial sector, at a fair price. Consequently, Viridis Energie Consultants was born.
Since setting up Viridis, Barry now sits on the Kent Energy Group as their renewable energy expert, and is the Facilitator for the Ambassadors of Medway Regeneration.
They understand that not all technologies are right for everyone, and tailor their service, and fee, to suit the individual. They provide the information clients need to make the right decision for their project.
Whilst Viridis doesn't carry out installations, it has developed a cooperative of local, trained installers who charge a fair price for quality products and installations.
