Chris Davis is commercial director for Kensa Heat Pumps. He has worked in the heating industry for over 12 years and been involved in the UK heat pump market since 2005.
Originally from a product design and development background, Chris has worked in a number of product management and marketing roles during his career and before joining Kensa in 2012 led the sales and marketing team at Dimplex Renewables.
He is actively involved in the development of the heat pump industry, including as a member of the MCS heat pump working group and formerly as a council member of the Ground Source Heat Pump Association. He is also past chairman of the BEAMA Domestic Heat Pump Association, which represents the voice of leading heating and heat pump manufacturers to Government and policy makers on heat pump related issues. In summer 2011 Chris was also invited to join a DECC task force aimed at reviewing heat pump installation practices, which resulted in the recent important changes to MIS3005.
Chris is passionate about heat pump technology and is hugely excited about the potential it has to be a mass market heating solution over the coming decade. When he is not thinking or talking about heat pumps and renewables, he spends his time as a married dad of two, a long suffering Nottingham Forest fan and keen golfer, skier and road cyclist.
