Finally installed 5kw PV (wind unreliable - & problematic in National Park - stupidly in my book).
The industry appears to have access to renewables sewn up rather than making it accessible as widely as possible, meaning that capital costs beyond my reach in rural isolation.
In the end I imported panels direct and used trade buddies to source good quality inverter &c. (SMA Sunny Boy).
Why is it not easier to source impartial advice from people selling nothing more than their knowledge!?
Farming in the Scottish Highlands with a self built house (& bunkhouse).
Deliberately all electric (ground sourced heat pump) to avoid carbon heavy deliveries & supply - with the intention of micro-generation.
I think this site has the potential to fill the gaps that i have experienced - ie. total lack of support for independents.
Is this just another portal for trade services?
-or is it actually aiming to facilitate rolling out domestic scale renewables as fast and as widely as possible?
